Sorry I made some of you confused in my last post. I said I will remove all the clothes that are not mine from one of the wardrobes... and it sounded like I'm borrowing clothes from other people.
I have NOT been wearing clothes that are not mine for about 30 years! I did borrow clothes from my older sisters when I was young but since I became older I only use my own clothes.
The clothes I'm going to remove are some clothes that belong to my X-boyfriend who don't live on Tenerife anymore. I will put them in a box instead in case he comes back and like to have them. That's why I said I'm going to remove the clothes that are not mine. I just need more space for the new outfits that I have bought!
Today I have been cleaning the apartment the whole afternoon.
I must have been blind!!! Today when I was watering the flowers I suddenly discovered my Aloe Vera plant is going to bloom. What a nice surprise! I wonder what it's gonna look like because it's the first time it receives a flower. I will show you later.
Normally I don't show you private things like this, but I will make an exception this time when I really would like to give a hint to all you women who are on the way to Tenerife. If you like beautiful under wears Tenerife is the right place where to look for some.
The Star Trek, The Conception and The Liberty shop on Calle Suecia in Los Cristianos (the commercial street up behind the Catholic church at the city square) have got some real nice stuff and the prices are human. And you can also find some nice stuff in some of the Chinese shops. I think they are so pretty and I buy more and more all the time even when I've got too many at the moment. I will show you some of the stuff I have bought lately...Just to give you a hint about what they look like...
A Baby Doll with a lot of hearts for the Valentines Day.
Checked in black, gray and white with strings.
White with strings.
White with mouths and letters saying 'Kissing You' in silver. Also with strings.
Black with diamonds + knickers.
White with diamonds + knickers.
Black knickers. Two of them with straps in the front.
Brito had invited me to go with him to a cheese venue at a cheese farm in San Isidro but we canceled it. We will go there an other day instead, and the owner will show us how they make the Canarian cheese. Instead we went for a dinner to El Medano which is a small town not far from the airport here on the south of Tenerife.
There are some cozy narrow streets.
Brito walking one of the streets.
Hotel El Medano *** with the golden sand beach. Famous because it ones was told to be teared down (it's too close to the ocean when a big part of it is in the sea) but got a reprieve. It's still going strong...
Me in the tower sofa close to the beach.
At the restaurant. Brito never get time off. The phone is ringing all the time. A friend called him and told him he must be at a 'reunion-meeting' tomorrow morning. I think I've never had a meal with Brito so far without him talking in the phone. The normal is 1-3 calls per meal!!!
We decided to go shellfish even when the restaurant had a great range of different fishes from the sea. Oh, when I see all these monsters I know I for sure will not swim in the ocean anymore. It's already many years since I had my last dip.
First we had 'Camarones'. I have many times seen people eating them at a restaurant here in Los Cristianos, but tonight I had them for the first time in my life. Good? Yes! Delicious!
Then we had 'Mejillones'. Oh, they were so lovely!
On the last plate it was a lot of 'langostinos'. I really enjoyed the meal!
Finally I will show you a short video clip of an old couple who were entertaining at the street. The music came from a player under the table cloth that is in between them. It was very dark where they were sitting and I think the whole video clip looks like it's from an old movie. It's for sure not a la 2011 and I'm a little bit surprised over the final result. It's quite mystical and so is the music.
It's Friday and my day off. In the afternoon I went with Brito for a lunch to the favorite Guachinche. Which one it is is a secret.
After the meal we strolled around for a while in the village and when we passed a playground I got the idea I just have to try it out. Oh so fun it was! I haven't been in a swing for 20 years or more. He,he! Brito were so afraid his friend Pedro who lives in the house next to the park would see us, but his fear couldn't stop me. I was swinging til I started feeling unsteady.
Then I got the idea I must try out the slide too. The only problem was that I'm too fat for this kind of experiences and I was in the beginning more or less jammed at the top platform.
There was also a horse thing to ride, but it didn't work out well. It didn't help how I tried... I didn't get on it! I had finally to give up! But no problem! I just got a thought like; Why ride a horse when you can ride a cowboy? No, Sorry!!! This is a real bad joke!!!!
Karen Carpenter I also started singing ´Top Of The World' with the Carpenters a few weeks ago.
I'm at the moment doing rehearsal of some songs that I'm going to take into my repertoire. The first name is the name of the song, the second the name of the line dance, and the third is the name of the artist that sings the original track.
All The Lovers - For The Lovers - Kylie Minogue Everything I Do (I do it for you) - Everything I Do - Bryan Adams I Run To You - I Run To You- Lady Antebellum Pack Up - Pack Up - Eliza Doolittle Coco Jamboo - Lamtara Rumba - Mr. Precident The Eyes Of A Child - Eyes Of A Child - Patsy Cline El De Los Ojos Negro - Cumbia or Merengue - Sparx Mamma Maria - Mamma Maria - Ricci E Poveri
I sing the two last songs in Spanish and Brito has helped me out with the pronunciation. Coco Jamboo is very difficult to sing, when it's a lot of rapping, but I hope I will figure it out soon. I love the song. The other tracks are more like normal songs not so difficult or special at all.
