La Karina 26.04.2013

Yes! I am on vacation, but no rest so far.
First we went over to Gibraltar and Marbella, then I went up to Finland one week...and
now when I returned back to Tenerife the owner of La Karina asked me to sing a few nights while the
musician, who normally sings here, is off.
I´m having plans to start having a rest soon...We´ll see?!

Anyhow it was a good night at La Karina last night. Full terrace and many dancers.
I took this video clip with my smart phone which means it´s a little bit dark when I don´t have the strong light to put on that is at Lewinskis...but anyhow...click on the small arrow if you like to watch it.

Thank You!

St Michaels Cave, Gibraltar

Me at the entrance. It says year 1867.

Oh this place you must visit while you are in Gibraltar!
What a big and beautiful cave!!!!
There´s a lot of drop stones and pipes in the ceiling and on the walls that
make the cave look like a cathedral. Just amazing!

Great Siege Tunnels, Gibraltar

I don´t like this place.
It just remind you of wars and stuff...
but of course, it´s a monument of times that have passed...

Gibraltar

The rock.

Gibraltar is just as lovely as I have thought.
I recommend you to visit at least one time in your life.

We went in by the car we had rented and it took us about half an hour to
get in and about 5 minutes to get out.
A choice we did in the last minute and that we are happy for.
When you go by your own car you get to see much more and you can stop
everywhere you like and you avoid the queue and the waiting at
every station that the bus- tourists have to face.
You just stop the car and look at everything you like to see and then move on...

If you don´t like monkeys you will probably fall in love with them!
Brito is not a fan of monkeys but now I think he´s fallen a little bit in love!
They are so fun and cuuuuute!!!!
Oh, I wish I could have one in my home!
But my real favourites are the small Pippi Longstocking ones, but
they are not in Gibraltar.

Tapas y Tintos, Casco Antigua Marbella

This is our favourite tapas bar in the old town of Marbella.
Everything we tried was just lovely!
The bar is not the easiest to find but if you don´t give up you´ll find it .
You must walk down (toward the sea) into one of the narrow streets at the plaza where many tourists sit and eat...and then you take left.

The barman Carlos with Brito and me.
I think he looks the same like my sister Ann´s husband Staffan...?!

We even went here for lunch one day...

and we visited every night...
