The Canarian Birds

The "Canarian birds" show up every year at Lewinskis.
The whistles are bought at the Sunday market and you must fill them with
water (or whiskey?) to get the sound.
When you blow into them they sound like real Canarian birds.
This clip was taken on Sunday night Jan, 25. 2015.

Happy New Year 2015

We just stayed at "home" at my Mams place and we invited her
best friend Berit for dinner.
As always I forgot the camera during the meal.

But anyhow, this is what we had;

Aperitif or welcome drink: Frexinet Champagne
Mussels in white wine sauce. White wine.
Fillet steak, Potatoes in garlic gratin, Dates with bacon, Green salat with
nuts and feta cheese. Red wine.
Frosen Cheese cake with strawberry sauce, Coffee and a liqueur from Estonia.

Brito launched some rockets but I only got the first small one when the
camera battery suddenly gave up after that. *sigh*

The Christmas Present

I got money as a Christmas present from the line dancers on Tenerife and
this is what I bought at Jari Maki Shop in Koskenkorva, Finland.
They are all real ones imported from the states.

After the visit in the Country Shop we , my sister Carola, Brito and me, drove up to Seinajoki, an other town, for shopping.
Carola and me on the photo below waiting for the dinner at
restaurant Rosso in Seinajoki.
Oh the food was so lovely and I recommend this place if
you are gonna visit this town.

Finland Christmas 2014

Again this yea we had the Christmas meal together with the family of my sister Carola,
Last year we arranged it at my Mams house but this year we gathered in their home in Korsnas, which is about 20 minutes drive south of where my Mam lives.
As always I forgot the camera and the only photos I´ve got is of the table and the "firast plate". *sigh*

We always have a lot of different plates on Christmas and after all this stuff we had
ham and fish (lutfisk) and potatoes, white sauce, different casseroles of carrot and Swedish Turnip.
And for dessert I had made a "Frosen Cheese cake" with strawberry.
